Street art is finally breaking out of boutique galleries and skateboard shops. This is a great street art show in a not so closet like space in the LES. The Woodward Gallery is showcasing works from Matt Siren and Dark Cloud with a big collection of MS collabos from various artists like Phallic Mammary, Korn, Moody, Celso, EGR, etc. The gallery also houses originals of Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenberg, Marcel Duchamp etc. It reminds me of art history class and all the fun adventures I had with my fellow classmates.

I finally watched Cars. Despite all the bad press, it was really funny! The car caricatures, the landscape photo realism, the reflective paint car surfaces, the everything even the sound is fantastic! It was also very diverse from mom dad mini vans, Mexican paint job car with hydraulics system, the pimped out bad ass drifting cars, the kawaii pink Japanese car with the anime eyes, the hippie dream machine with the organic fuel maaaan... This is the type of humor I live for!

Not only did I go to an awesome gallery, watched an awesome Pixar movie, I finally had awesome affordable Kobe beef. It was squishy, chewy, juicy... not stringy and doesn't get caught between my teeth. Try the the hardy meaty ax men Lodge at Williamsburg BK. I finally have time to see the Takashi Murakami show at the Gagosian Gallery, which is on the same block as my favorite Alain Mikli shop. Rushed, you could tell by the movie poster - it's a photo of Johnny Depp with some smoke /fog action. What happened to the wonderful photoshop work from movie 1 and 2. Even the marketing campaign sucked! I saw more Spiderman 3 ads than Pirates. The movie was alright - great effects and fighting but some cheesy love shit going on with Calypso and Davy Jones. We all know she a ho and a home wrecker (like Evan Richard Wood) coz she done up Odysseus for 10 years. Calypso was played by a black woman though so I guess the interracial-ness made it hot. Also, why the hell is Keith Richards even in this? Pirates should take their time making part 4 coz there will be part 4 and it really doesn't seem that interesting. Brazil had nothing to do with Andrienna Lima or hot sandy beaches, but it's about govenment security and unforbidden love :( The art direction reminded me of Blade Runner and Super Mario Brothers. Even Bob Hoskins, who played Mario, was in it. I used to get him confused with Danny Devito. Overall, the film was pretty tight though it should've ended a couple of times instead it went on forever.

Heathers was supposed to be Clueless and Mean Girls but it was fuck'n Columbine and Virgina Tech. The film actually had a story. I was hoping to see a bunch of hot girls going shopping and giving each other makeovers and playing matchmaker and then stealing each other boyfriends. I dig shit like that. Oh well, I still like watching the young Shannen Doherty. I reminiscence the time when channel 11, once WPIX (before WB, before CW11), and all they did was play "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" and Shannen played the quirky little sister.

Both guys are obviously insane, wanted to kill each other, and yet they are best friends and made a list of well known German flicks such as "Fitzcarraldo," an American man who wanted to build an opera house in the jungle, and in order to do this, he moved a boat over a mountain with the help of the Natives. The best part was they actually did drag a boat over the sandy mountains. The Natives also offered to kill Klaus. Werner wanted to fire bomb his house. Such violent yet friendly people they were.

I see the same lady bum everyday at the spot under he scaffolds at the cross section between Mercer and Spring in Soho. She's a classy bum with all her suitcases lined up. Matt and I went inside 11 Spring. There was an enormous OBEY piece right across from Judith Supine, totally a nice guy. Above was in there doing some installation. For some reason, I've always thought he was European, but I didn't hear an accent.

It felt great to not be pressured and 2 cop cars drove by and yeah... just drove by. Nice people were coming up to us asking about our art. I live in a house that an old lady used to live in and probably died in. She's been haunting my dreams since I was in the 6th grade. I think I even saw her walking through my door one night. Eventually I grew out of it and haven't had any freakish nightmares til last night. Like a corny horror flick, I was hiding under my blankets really scared and taking a peeks to see if anyone was out there. No one was there, so I was like screw it and took the blankets off my face... AND THERE SHE WAS!!! Standing there with her full zip camo Bape Hoodie! Ice cream Skate Team DVD comes out today. Despite the BBC rep, I still very much enjoyed working on their package. Silly haters stop hate'n. Props to Greg D and the good people at deconmedia.com. I apologize for the dark lit photos. I am far too lazy to take art director shots. You'll have to wait til my portfolio website launches next Summer, I hope.

Studio B was fuckn far. I could see the empire state building from there! Since the walk was long, I managed to use up half my stickers on the way from N 7 to N 15 in Brooklyn. Saw kool peeps like Holly and Dave of Peel Magazine. The design layout in this new issue looks dope, props to them.

What a nice day it was. I stopped by diesel for The Friends with You thing. No photos inside since it's a store and not really a gallery.

I passed by Dan the Automator Vapors / Decon snipes on Wooster. I like to call it a collaboration between Chris and I. Chris gets props for making Vapors so niiiiiiiiiiice.

Stussy World Tour Screening

I just can't get enough of internet communities, so here I am on blogger thanks to the influence of Neek and Wang. Live Journal is so last year.

Adam W. from Stussy dropped by Decon yesterday. I helped work on the Stussy World Tour DVD, so I was invited to the dvd screening at Tribeca Cinemas even though I saw the doc billions of times because Kavi and I checked for errors. Faro gave me the balls to speak to Kaws. He literally ripped them out of his sac and handed to me with blood, pubes and all.
